The terrorists are here on our shores! A suicide bomber announces their arrival by blowing himself up in a busy London street market.

A bomb in a crowded marketplace triggers a frantic hunt for those who sent the bomber. London’s senior detective, John Brookes, leads the team. The hunt is on for the cell leader and the bomb-maker. More plots are discovered along the way and the investigation reaches a climax when Brookes zero’s in on the self-styled Soldiers of Islam.

A Never-Ending Hunt

 on July 13, 2016
By MissScarlett
While I have to agree with other reviewers that this book was somewhat predictable, that didn’t stop me from enjoying it. Sometimes you want something predictable and comforting, like a favorite pair of jeans or comfy chair. I didn’t notice many, if any, typos or grammar errors, which I usually notice and get annoyed at if they’re there. Neither did I find the novel dated, but then I’m probably “dated” myself. I enjoyed “The Punch and Judy Man” by this author and enjoyed this one even more. As a former police officer, the author knows his stuff and includes lots of interesting background detail.

A very good read

This was a page Turner. And the plot was very believable. I was a little put off by some of the British pronunciation, but it was more than offset by the story line and action.

The Holy War continues

A well written tale very much of concern in this day and time. Definitely told by an informed British police insider. Lots of action, very informative and a good plot. Will be interested in following this character in more adventures.

About T. J. Walter

T. J. Walter
Once upon a time I was a police officer patrolling the streets of London. Now, long retired, I live on the south coast indulging my passions. Not the ones you may think! My passions are the search for justice; and humour. Justice I found to be somewhat elusive when in the force. Our legal system deals adequately with the small-fry but not infrequently comes sadly adrift when money is thrown at it. My books, although fiction, reflect my passions.
