Christopher Renton is beyond a control freak, and not what a naive girl who is just getting over her first break-up needs. But Lucie-May is drawn to him, despite others warning her off. Will she cope with Renton's all-consuming need for her, or will she be drawn into something darker than she imagined?
In the Club, everything is allowed. Well, almost…
It becomes a way of life. Behind its doors, weary businessmen forget the pressures of their working week, frustrated housewives experience all their hidden desires, nervous kids try something new, and experienced members oversee it all with a steady hand. And me? Well, I suppose I’m an exception.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. The Red Serpent Club is some way down the line in this story – after I’d had my eyes opened to the world a little…
"Hopelessly sexy… a thrill ride of a novel."
"A perfect mix of dark and light, The Red Serpent Club is as exciting as it gets."

The U.S vs The U.K
I rarely write reviews. I just hope that the author reads this. If you’re going to write about a young woman from Mississippi that lives in the NYC than there are a few things. 1st in America it’s an apartment not a flat or flatmate. 2nd here we do not go by military time . But, either than that the book is good..

This is a refreshing read for an erotic book. Lucie is a innocent girl who gets her eyes opened to a whole new lifestyle. As the story progresses she is soon involved with her boss. The sex scenes in this book are not overdone. I loved the fact that Lucie was curious about the dominant/submissive scene. She did not spend the whole book thinking this is wrong and I am a freak for this turning me on. She went along with the things she liked and was willing to try new things and accept that she liked it. The only thing that I would have liked to see was some more character development with Mr. Renton. He was so formal and we didn’t seem to get to know why he picked Lucie. I can’t wait for the next book.

I only got into this halfway through after a bit of a slow start but once Lucie-May started working for Renton things got really interesting. I kind of like L-M although she could be a bit whiny but the guy characters totally make up for this. Even by the end of the book Renton still seems mysterious and there are plenty of unanswered questions about him. I like the dominant & submissive relationship developing and my particular favorite scene came out of this.
Straight to the Top of my TBR pile

My tbr pile is overflowing at the moment but this one kind of jumped the queue. Something about the cover and the blurb just told me I had to jump into this one and once I got started I sure wasn’t stopping any time soon. It barely took me any time to get through despite being 250+ pages. I guess I’m kind of a light reader of this sort of thing and RSC was perfect for me. Nothing too weird, but enough to keep my interest. 🙂
